Cutesy Cakes

This week has really been crazy and it’s only Tuesday! I turned in a 32-page paper today, turned in my portfolio for my magazine class, and I have a presentation tonight. I also finished my website for my web design class and it’s a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! It’s nice to know I don’t have anything else to worry about now except my exams nest Tuesday and Wednesday! I’m so relieved! :) )))))))))))

I am so glad that Southern had Christmas on the Promenade this year. Last year it was cancelled because of rain and it was such a bummer that we didn’t have it. This year Southern scheduled a rain day just in case of bad weather and they ended up having to use it. It was really nice to have in on the first day of December. It really brought in the holiday season! I loved all the caroling and I especially loved the jazz band. I also tried hot apple cider for the first time ever tonight and I really liked it! It was a lot of fun and I’m glad I got to take a break from school and hang out with my boyfriend and friends.

So I finally finished my persuasion and propaganda paper. What a relief! I also turned in my last article for magazine and feature class, so I have nothing due for that class now, that’s really nice. I still need to finish my final paper for PR campaign class, and I hate that it’s hanging over my head. I still have a lot to do for my web design site and that’s stressing me out. I really want this semester to be over already! Soon enough it will be over, and I hope I like my classes for next semester…

Going home for break was so nice! I’ve missed home and family. I got to fly home, which was nice. Our flight was delayed so that was a bummer, but I still got home and that’s what counts. I was able to make a pumpkin pie and a apple pecan cheesecake. They both turned out pretty good. I can’t wait for Christmas!

Sometimes it’s nice to just do nothing. Last weekend I spent time with my aunt and uncle Saturday and we made food together and relaxed. We stayed all day and then watched  a movie and made pizza that night. It’s so nice to get away from school for a while and spend time with family.

I can’t wait for Thanksgiving! I miss my family and can’t wait to spend some time with them. I wish Thanksgiving break was longer so I could stay home a little while longer. I’m so happy the semester is almost over. It’s been a stressful semester, but I’ve enjoyed my classes. I know next semester will be just as good.

This weekend I went camping with two of my friends and my boyfriend. We went to Fall Creek Falls State Park and stayed in a tent. It was so cold during the night, but it was beautiful during the day. We went hiking on Saturday and explored the falls. It was really nice to see all the trees changing colors. I would definitely go back and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to go on a weekend trip.

This weekend I carved a pumpkin! I haven’t done it since I was a kid and it was kind of gross. My boyfriend, Rudenz, had to draw what I wanted because I can’t draw. I was good at carving the pumpkin, but that’s about it. My friend Allison carved a kitty, Steven carved a scary face, and Rudenz carved a wolf. Look!

So I got an email from my grandma the other day on my phone, but I couldn’t see the whole thing because it was an email that had a link. I just recently had some time and I opened it. The email said this:

HEMA is a Dutch department store. The first store opened on November 4, 1926, in Amsterdam. Now there are 150 stores all over the NetherlandsTake a look at HEMA’s product page – just wait a couple of seconds and watch what happens…

Don’t click on any of the items in the picture or touch your mouse…just wait…
